That Rihanna reign JUST won’t let up…
Tuesday - Feb. 9, 2010

By now we have all been introduced to Ms. Rihanna Fenty. Your opinion on her you should keep to yourself. There is no denying that her career took off almost three years ago in 2007 after her smash hit Umbrella with Jay-Z. Since her Good Girl Gone Bad album, a follow-up to it was highly anticipated.

She remained under the scrutinizing watch of the tabloids and TMZ, with every day something new being found out about her. With the media paying such careful attention to her, she also earned a watchful eye from the fashion world as well but the thing was… this was a good thing. Yes, scandal surrounds the girl at every waking moment but anyone who saw her on covers of magazines, tabloids, newspapers and so forth noticed what she wore. It began defining her more than the rumors that made their rounds around gossip sites.

Like any celebrity admired for their fashion sense (i.e. early Madonna), it slowly was copied and pasted across the world by fans. The thing is, some people think that Rihanna had a hand in this all by herself but those in fashion know behind every well-dressed celebrity is an amazing stylist. Ms. Fenty is no different. This is where credit is due and you have Mariel Haenn to thank for it. She played the biggest role in her career, transforming her from the cute 16-year-old Caribbean girl to that b*tch you are afraid of. I mean her outfits are DANGEROUS. Spikes, rips, studs, points. At this point, I am amazed she has yet to injure herself. Though she has admitted to Ellen Degeneres in a recent interview that she “stabbed a couple of people giving them hugs”. Poor them.

Here is a sampling of her fashion transformation on stage and in videos.
