It’s not my thing trying to get back, but this time let me tell you where I’m at.

I’m not an avid Chris Brown fan but even last year when Michael Jackson passed and BET went ahead with barring him from performing a tribute to him with instead creating one of the most bs shows of all time that was poorly put together, I was upset. He was the only one who could have done it right. In the end the entire BET awards came out a big eff up on their part because of them scrambling to put something together in time. Now I am happy because maybe the year off from major award shows was necessary for Chris Brown to put together THIS tribute that blew away every other one combined!
Daddy isn’t dead though, he continues to live on ♥

So I am not Lil Wayne‘s biggest fan. I will admit it. I’m so far from it actually. What gets me are not his true fans, but followers. There is an established difference. If you think I am hating on the man, think about what I said very carefully before coming at me about it. Anyways, I respect the man a great deal. Not for his music, hustle, enterprise, hoes or tricks. None of that. Solely respect him for his words. The man inspires with his thoughts put onto paper. With that, the world has gotten a moment of clarity with WeezyThanxYou. All of the outside distractions are not around and you are able to understand him in his truest form. With that, I leave you with an excerpt from Letter #02: A Mother’s Worth.
It’s not many words in the world more powerful than “mother.” Those six letters can bring joy, just like they bring pain. It can invoke excitement just as quickly as it can anger, depending on the context, I guess. For myself, it means more than I can ever possibly describe, but I will try. I associate the term with immeasurable strength, beautiful patience and infinite wisdom.
You can probably already tell, but the main reason for this letter is to pay tribute to every positive matriarch on Mother’s Day. In my eyes, that day is 365 days a year, but I understand the significance of the holiday. The love between a mother and her offspring is hands down the most beautiful thing God created. More than money, more than fame, more than cars. You know why? Because true love is the only thing that lasts from the moment you’re born to the second you perish. To all the mothers who read this letter, I hope this day allows you to feel the love and respect you so rightfully deserve. You are the role models, not me.

Last night, Giorgio Armani unveiled four outfits that he personally designed for Alicia Keys‘ world tour. The last outfit seems too safe compared to the fabulousness of the other ones, even including those shiny gloves but hey I don’t know which songs would be accompanying it. The other ones I love though! Especially the silver bodysuit and spiked jacket combo. ♥

This kind of confirms it for me at least, Little Miss Miley Cyrus is officially on her way to becoming a pop queen joining the likes of Britney, Madonna and Beyonce for over-the-top, flashy music videos with well choreographed numbers alongside the best stylists in the business! Oh and if you haven’t heard, there is a scene in which she is laying on top of a boatload of peacock feathers and sporting a glitzy corset made of pieces of metal created by The Blonds. That little number sans feathers is worth $25,000!! Either way though, the video is oozing fierceness and sex appeal. Aw we are witnessing a little diva in the making!
